In 1982 my mom bought me a bus tour + 10 days hotel plus tickets for 5 games including England beating France 3-1. I(I paid her back from my summer job. Think it was £250). In 1994 now living in SF I went to LA for a weekend, saw 2 games, Stanford for a group game & a 1/4 and Dallas for the Brazil v Netherlands (best game of the tournament). If you add up everything I have ever spent on the world Cup, I am sure that I will be spending more taking my wife and 2 kids to Levi's stadium to see Paraguay take on the mighty Turkey. And the tickets I can't believe I paid $350 each for are selling on StubHub for $500!
3 England games all in Bilbao. For the other two Think one was in San Sebastian and one in Zaragoza? Dont remember the first and dont think I went to the second as it was a longish bus ride

That's why FIFA is getting away with this shit
What!?! 5 Games in 1982. Which cities? Spain right. Incredible.
Yeah, FIFA just milks the nostalgia. Family fandom. It's nuts.
